Welcome!

It is with great excitement that I thank you for your interest in the our Washington Elementary STEM Magnet. We are thrilled at the prospect of having you join our school community.

At Washington  Elementary STEM Magnet, we know how vitally important the primary grades are in a young person’s educational and social development, and it is our steadfast goal to provide your child with the most enriching and empowering education possible within a safe and nurturing environment.  

I’d like to take a moment to highlight a few things that make our STEM Magnet unique.

Washington STEM has a rich history and a bright future. The dedicated teachers and staff are committed to maintaining a caring learning environment for all students. STEM education prepares all students for the challenges of the 21st Century. Washington Elementary, as a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics magnet school, will expand the vision of students and their families. Students connect to the world through engaging, challenging learning experiences allowing them to investigate, explore, experiment, problem solve, create, and invent.

 Washington Elementary STEM Magnet will make connections between traditional subjects and real-world learning experiences utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Instead of teaching science, technology, engineering and math classes in isolation, Washington teachers will link the students’ learning opportunities by using an integrated hands-on approach to instruction and learning.

Washington’s staff and community partners are excited about the direction we have taken to implement our STEM Magnet Program and welcome you and your family to join our model STEM learning environment for all students.
